8 Months

Time is flying and my littles are now 8 months! Just the other night, Andrew and I looked back at photos of them after they were born and we can't even believe they are the same babies! Of course we are their parents but we think they get more and more beautiful each day.

Both girls are crawling all over the place but Caroline is definitely the dominant one. She leads and Charlotte follows. Caroline is so curious and in to everything. Little Charlotte has become such a mama's baby. She wants me to hold her all the time. I try not to because I want her to grow up confident and independent but sometimes I just can't resist that sweet little face. They have both started pulling themselves up to their feet and even taking a few steps while balancing on objects. I don't know if I can handle two walkers anytime soon!
The girls weigh close to 15 lbs. now. They are little petite things. They are at such a fun age and I'm loving everyday with them!

Baptism and Thanksgiving

I did not want to put these two together but I'm so behind on posting, as usual!

The girls were baptised on November 13. It was so beautiful and I was proud of how well they did. I had planned the baptism and brunch for months and even though it was a lot of work it was well worth it! Unfortunately, I was so overwhelmed and busy that day that I did not take any photos! I'm a food and entertaining research obsesser! So, with a little research, I came up with a cute idea of a Biscuit Bar. I made homemade sweet potato and buttermilk biscuits. Then I put out tons of toppings...prosciutto, pancetta, bacon, honey ham (can you tell I love the pig), chicken salad, pimento cheese, flavored butters, jams. We also had mini frittatas and maple dressing salad. A friend of mine made a beautiful cake that I ended up not taking a picture of :( It was a wonderful celebration!

Now for Thanksgiving! We went to Midland to spend it with my family. It was fun and flew by.

We attempted to do a couple of photo shoots with the girls and their cousin Parker....did not work out well. Little Parker was quite a cutie and couldn't understand why her crazy cousins did not want to get their picture taken.

Fall in Vermont

Even though it's been over a month since we took our Vermont trip I still wanted to post some pictures. I already miss the weather. Especially since it is snowing there now! Here's about a million pictures...

Andrew and I took a little day trip to Deerfield, Ma which is home to a dream school, Deerfield Academy. I just love how small the states are in the Northeast. We like to take beautiful drives through the different states.

We went to a neat Fall Festival at Stratton Ski Mountain...they had drinks, food, live music. Everyone just sat out on the green mountain and enjoyed the weather.

We took the girls on a hayride...

I definitely know how my inlaws fell in love with Vermont. It's so beautiful and peaceful there. Can't wait to go back!

Halloween

So I'm not a big Halloweener but I'm sure that will change now that we have the little ones. I will say this was one of the best Halloween's we have ever had! The girls were so cute! Our friends and neighbors had us over for a little front yard gathering. Caroline even got her first kiss! Haha! Too bad we all missed it on camera.

The girls were little pumpkins. I made the tutus they wore. Most of you may think I'm really crafty but it's more like cheap. Those can run up to $30 and it took me $10 and an hour to make both! Although, I will say I have gotten a little more Martha Stewart these days. I refuse to pay $10 for a boutique bow, especially since I have to buy double. So with a little help from YouTube, I've been making those as well.

I promise my girls were actually smiling before and after these photos. They must not have enjoyed the strange skirt, dead grass, bundled up like it was 40 degrees even though it was 70 and huge orange things we propped them on. I can't imagine why...
They look so chunky, haha! Maybe it's the hats.
