9 Months

I want the next 3 months to go by so slowly. They are just growing up so fast. And if I thought I was busy before, oh no, I'm busy now! So many twin moms I meet tell me it gets easier! I just don't know how that's possible. But the trade off for the busy days is how much fun they are at this age. They giggle and laugh all the time. They are really starting to play and enjoy each other, which is so fun to watch.

Charlotte

At their 9 month checkup, Caroline weighed 15 lbs. and Charlotte weighed 15 lbs. 2 oz. Caroline is 26 inches and Charlotte is 26 1/2. So they are still pretty much the same size. Andrew is worried that they are so small but the doctor reassured him they are growing good and will more than likely just be little petite things.

We used to think Charlotte was a shy little girl but she has really come out of her shell this past month. Now at story time and play groups, she will crawl away and play like Caroline. We just started a music class last week and they love it!

Caroline just got her first tooth, on the bottom. Charlotte has one barely coming in on the top. At 9 months they love:
-crawling all over the place
-pulling themselves to their feet and taking steps while holding on to stuff
-being tickled
-hair dryer
-eating...anything
-swings
-music
-anything electronic (especially Charlotte)

What they don't love so much:
-nap time
hmmm...I guess that's about it

8 Months

Time is flying and my littles are now 8 months! Just the other night, Andrew and I looked back at photos of them after they were born and we can't even believe they are the same babies! Of course we are their parents but we think they get more and more beautiful each day.

Both girls are crawling all over the place but Caroline is definitely the dominant one. She leads and Charlotte follows. Caroline is so curious and in to everything. Little Charlotte has become such a mama's baby. She wants me to hold her all the time. I try not to because I want her to grow up confident and independent but sometimes I just can't resist that sweet little face. They have both started pulling themselves up to their feet and even taking a few steps while balancing on objects. I don't know if I can handle two walkers anytime soon!
The girls weigh close to 15 lbs. now. They are little petite things. They are at such a fun age and I'm loving everyday with them!

Baptism and Thanksgiving

I did not want to put these two together but I'm so behind on posting, as usual!

The girls were baptised on November 13. It was so beautiful and I was proud of how well they did. I had planned the baptism and brunch for months and even though it was a lot of work it was well worth it! Unfortunately, I was so overwhelmed and busy that day that I did not take any photos! I'm a food and entertaining research obsesser! So, with a little research, I came up with a cute idea of a Biscuit Bar. I made homemade sweet potato and buttermilk biscuits. Then I put out tons of toppings...prosciutto, pancetta, bacon, honey ham (can you tell I love the pig), chicken salad, pimento cheese, flavored butters, jams. We also had mini frittatas and maple dressing salad. A friend of mine made a beautiful cake that I ended up not taking a picture of :( It was a wonderful celebration!

Now for Thanksgiving! We went to Midland to spend it with my family. It was fun and flew by.

We attempted to do a couple of photo shoots with the girls and their cousin Parker....did not work out well. Little Parker was quite a cutie and couldn't understand why her crazy cousins did not want to get their picture taken.

Fall in Vermont

Even though it's been over a month since we took our Vermont trip I still wanted to post some pictures. I already miss the weather. Especially since it is snowing there now! Here's about a million pictures...

Charlotte and Daddy

Andrew and I took a little day trip to Deerfield, Ma which is home to a dream school, Deerfield Academy. I just love how small the states are in the Northeast. We like to take beautiful drives through the different states.

We went to a neat Fall Festival at Stratton Ski Mountain...they had drinks, food, live music. Everyone just sat out on the green mountain and enjoyed the weather.

We took the girls on a hayride...

I definitely know how my inlaws fell in love with Vermont. It's so beautiful and peaceful there. Can't wait to go back!
